Focus on industry timing:

It’s not easy to hit the target times for lash experts when you are new in the industry. Ultimately it’s what the client will expect and it can help with your scheduling. Most classic full sets of lashes can be applied in 2-2.5 hours. A full volume that usually takes 3-3.5 hours. Touch Ups are generally scheduled between one hour for classic and two hours for volume.

Limit your talking:

It can be easy to start getting lost in gossip and chatting with your clients but talking can often be a distraction. When you start to master the process of placement and isolation you can get a little more chatty with your clients. In the early days of your business, it’s best to stay concentrated.

Don’t brush as much:

There’s no need to brush the lashes or fluff them up throughout the entire appointment. Wait until the lashes are properly lined up. Most experts only brush the lashes five times throughout a full set of lash installations. If you find yourself brushing the lashes more than that, you can cut back.

Not every lash requires extension:

Most of the time, the Hispanic difference between 80% to 100% is almost unnoticeable. If you are billing the client for 2 hours time and 100% coverage takes you two and a half hours, it’s likely that you are losing money. If you can only cover 80 to 90% of the lashes because it’s difficult for you to isolate, this can often be a better choice.

Always prepare your workstation:

Start with a prepared treatment table and make sure that you’re ready for each appointment. This can often save you up to 5 min. on every single client.
